Thomas H. “Tommy, T.J.” Jefferson, 75, of Gardner, died suddenly, Sunday, March 15, 2020, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
Born in Worcester on April 25, 1944, he was the son of the late George W. Jefferson Jr. and Martha (Riley) Jefferson. He attended Worcester High School. He was a self-employed painter for several years until his retirement in 2010.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747 of Gardner, the Deep-Sea Club of Gardner, and the West End Beagle Club of Gardner. He enjoyed camping, playing shuffleboard and cards, ice fishing, and loved to take trips to Florida. But the time he loved and cherished the most was time spent with his wife, Marilyn, and his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife Marilyn (Caron) Jefferson of Gardner; step-children Cindy Gallant, Holly Hardy, Fran Scott, Brian Scott, Stephen Scott, and Mary Scott; eight step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, George, and James “Butch” Jefferson; one sister, Linda “Peaches” Hakes; several nieces, nephews, and cousins
He was predeceased by four sisters Susan Jefferson, Patricia Hemmingway, Janet Carter, and Diann Simpers; three brothers, John, Richard, and Robert Jefferson.
Due to the recent COVID-19 (Corona Virus) outbreak, Funeral Services will be held at a later date to be announced.
