Benoit J. “Ben” LeBlanc, 82, of Worcester, formerly a resident of Gardner for many years, died peacefully Thursday, February 7, 2019 in St. Vincent Hospital of Worcester, following an illness.
Born in St. Louis de Kent, NB Canada on December 13, 1936, he was the son of the late Fidele and Lauza (Thibodeau) LeBlanc.
Ben was employed as a furniture finisher for various furniture manufacturing companies in the Greater Gardner area. Prior to retiring, he was employed by Nichols and Stone Company of Gardner for many years.
He was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Ben loved listening to Bluegrass music, gardening and nature. He also enjoyed playing cards, building model ships and working around his home. He treasured spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.
Ben was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Theresa M. LeBlanc who died in 1994.
He leaves his son, Lloyd LeBlanc and his wife Diane of New Hampshire; daughters, Monica A. Harding of Washington, Iona A. Richard and her husband Maurice of Templeton, Lee Ann Nault and her husband James of Lunenburg, Renette T. Manisy and her husband Steve of Templeton, and Christina M. McKnelly and her husband David of Florida; brothers, Benny LeBlanc and his wife Gloria of Templeton, Camille LeBlanc and his wife Marilyn of Canada and Alphonse LeBlanc of Canada; sisters, Merilda Cormier of Canada, and Lucienne Bourque; grandchildren, Marcy, Brian, Tasey, Codi, Ryan, Ashley, Anise, Chelsea, Joey and Michael; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Monday, February 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
