Annette M. (Gauvin) Korhonen, 65, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley, Littleton, following an 8-year battle from a traumatic brain injury.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, on July 9, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rita (Boudreau) Gauvin. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1973. She was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and a Paraprofessional employed by the Gardner Public Schools System at Elm Street School for 18-years prior to her injury.
Annette was adored by all who knew her. She was kind, patient, compassionate, selfless, and loved everyone unconditionally. Annette enjoyed biking, hiking, sunbathing (for an always perfect tan!), but above all, loved and treasured her family. She knew no greater gift than being a devoted mother for 38 years and for the past three years as a Grammy to Chase.
Annette is survived by her son, Jonathan Korhonen and his wife Elizabeth (Harlow) Korhonen of Littleton; her grandson, Chase Korhonen, and a granddaughter-to-be due in December; her husband of 44-years, Peter Korhonen of Gardner; four brothers, Terry Gauvin of Gardner, Daniel Gauvin and his wife Antonette of Templeton, David Gauvin and his wife Ellen of Baldwinville and Kevin Gauvin and his wife Kimberly of Ashburnham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
