Youngjin Kim

Youngjin Kim, 53, of Gardner, died peacefully after fighting a ruptured brain aneurysm followed by multiple surgeries, Monday, March 23, 2020, in the Rose Monahan Hospice House, Worcester, surrounded by his family.

Born in South Korea on December 2, 1966, he was the son of Youngtae Kim and Jahyun Son. Youngjin served in the South Korean military. He received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, eventually obtaining the equivalence of a bachelor’s degree from employment experiences, and worked as a computer tech support specialist for the Spencer- East Brookfield School District.

He was a member of the Boston Korean Church. Youngjin enjoyed gardening, fishing, going for walks, and fixing computers. But the time that he loved and cherished the most was spending time with his family, especially attending his children’s school events.

Besides his parents, Youngjin is survived by his wife of 25-years, Eunjeong Shin of Gardner; two sons, Donghyun Kim of Boston, and Jeongki Kim of New York City; one daughter, Suji Kim of Gardner; two brothers, Youngchan Kim and Younghun Kim of South Korea; two sisters, Youngshin Kim and Youngim Kim, both of South Korea; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
