Obituary

William Khane, 93, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, while at home, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Xayaboury, Laos, on January 5, 1933. William spent much of his working career in the food service and custodial industry. He worked in the kitchen at Barker's Island in Superior, Wisconsin, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Predeceased in life by his beloved wife, Padapsy Khane in 2024.

William was a proud member of the Vietnam War Laos Association and a devoted parishioner of Wat Lao Dhammaraam in Fitchburg, where he found strength in his faith and enjoyed the fellowship of his community. He found great peace in life's simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors fishing or tending to his garden alongside his beloved wife. William also enjoyed trying his luck at the casino, but nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by his family. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.

William is survived by three daughters, Douangchanh Boupha of Gardner, Joan Khane, of Gardner and Susan Khane, of Gardner; three sons, Manivanh James Khane and wife Ashley Mai Yang of Brooklyn Park, MN, Andy Khane, and his wife Homara, of Gardner, Paul Khane, and his wife Sherry of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Beside for his wife, William is also predeceased in life by a son, Johnny Khane; a brother, Lounhourn Khan; and a son-in-law Boonmy Boupha; granddaughter, Kayla; and a great-grandson, Niko.
