Walter "Wadge" C. Kacian, 74, of 128 Champagne Rd., Gardner, and formerly of Westminster, died Wednesday in his residence following an illness.
Born in Gardner on November 1, 1928, he was the son of Joseph and Antoinette (Milewski) Kacian.
He was a T.V. technician employed by Stasukelis Appliance of Gardner for 40 years until 1990. He was self-employed as a T.V. technician from 1990 to 1998.
He was a 1946 graduate of Gardner High School. Mr. Kacian was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Westminster. He was a member of the Lithuanian Club and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved music, especially band concerts and also loved to dance.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Pauline T. (Gagne) Kacian of Gardner; 2 daughters, Kimberly A. Shell, wife of Carl Shell of Ashburnham and Melissa L. Murphy of Gardner; 2 brothers, Joseph Kacian of Gardner and Chester Kacian of Milledgeville, GA; 2 sisters, Frances Girouard of Gardner and Regina Chabot of Carver; 3 grandchildren, C.J. Shell, Jason Shell and Tyler Murphy; several nieces, nephews and 1 cousin. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, John Kacian and Wacy Kacian, MIA during World War II and 3 sisters, Antoinette Brideau, Nellie Gilhooly and Anna Garick.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church St., Westminster.
Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster, at a later date.
