Obituary

Therese E. (Gallant) Belliveau, 96, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family after a period of declining health.

Born in Waltham on May 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late August and Amanda (Barthel) Gallant. For over 30 years, Therese was the owner and operator of Terry's Coffee Shop in Gardner, where she became a familiar face to generations of customers and took great pride in serving her community.

For many years, Therese was a devoted parishioner of Annunciation Parish in Gardner and a proud member of the French Club in Gardner. She had a passion for cooking and baking and was always eager to try new recipes or browse through cookbooks for inspiration. Therese also enjoyed traveling to Maine, especially Ogunquit, where she found peace and relaxation. Above all, she treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories with those she loved most.

Therese is survived by her two daughters, Denise Sarao of Fitchburg and Karen Kutcha and her husband, Peter, of Winchendon; her two grandchildren, David Cuff of Winchendon and Michael Sarao and his wife, Elizabeth, of Townsend; her two great-grandsons, Jacob Cuff and Anthony Sarao; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her extended family, including Ann LeBlanc and her husband, Mark of Minnesota, David Belliveau and his wife, Joann of Ashburnham, Donald Daigle and his wife, Bev of Charlton, Michael Daigle and his wife Ruth, of Hudson, Gail Dextraze and her husband, John of Fitchburg, Linda Daigle of Rutland, and sister-in-law, Viola Belliveau of Leominster.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roger J. Belliveau, who died in 2009; a brother, Robert Gallant; two sisters, Lorraine Gallant and La Petite; a nephew, Roger Daigle; a brother-in-law, Albert Belliveau; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Daigle.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

There are no calling hours. Please report directly to the church on the day of the service.
