Theresa M. LaChance
Theresa was born on June 27, 1923 in Fort Kent, Maine to the late Josephel Bouthot and Clarise Landry. She married Leo on January 6, 1942 and shortly thereafter they moved to Gardner which has been their home for the past 75 years.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Theresa was also a member of The Royal Palm Golf Course, Boca Raton, FL. and Oak Hill Golf Course, Fitchburg, MA.
Theresa loved her winters in Boca Raton, FL, where she played cribbage and golf with her friends. She also loved music, dancing, and flowers. Her fondest times in her life were when she was with her family. Leo and Theresa were very active in the Greater Gardner community and have often been noted for their philanthropy to local institutions and groups. Theresa stayed in the giving mode even after Leo's death in 2008 such as helping to raise funds for Heywood Hospital and the Fernald School. She was, and remains the loving matriarchal core of the family.

Theresa and Leo were simply wonderful people. I had the good fortune to have been recommended to help Theresa with some housekeeping at their Gardner home during the middle and late 1980's. The kindness and generosity of this exceptional couple has stayed with me ever since. Gardner was very fortunate to have had these special people choose to live there. Rest in peace, Theresa and Leo. You have earned it.
