Theresa "Tesha" P. (Girouard) Ducharme, 94, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Heywood Hospital of Gardner.
Born in Gardner on February 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George and Blanche (Beaudet) Girouard. She was a proud graduate of Gardner High School, Class of 1949, and went on to dedicate 44 years as an administrative assistant with Shawmut Bank of Gardner until her retirement in 1993.
Theresa was a faithful and devoted member of Annunciation Parish in Gardner, where she shared her love of music as a choir member for more than 60 years and lent her time and energy to the parish's annual Bazaar for over two decades. She was also an active member of both the Gardner Chapter of AARP and the Gardner Golden Agers. A woman of wide-ranging interests, Theresa embraced life fully - whether she was traveling to new destinations, preparing a meal for the ones she loved, or line dancing with friends. In quieter moments, she could be found enjoying her favorite PBS mystery programs and doting on her beloved cat, Penelope, with whom she shared a special bond. But nothing brought Theresa greater joy than time spent with her family - most of all those warm gatherings around the dinner table with her grandchildren, filling the room with laughter and love, and leaving memories that will be forever treasured.
Theresa is survived by her two children, Marisa A. Coviello and her husband, David, of Hubbardston, and George R. Ducharme and his wife, Kerrianne, of Taunton; four grandchildren, Isabel and Eric Coviello, and Kyle and Ryan Ducharme; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Roland "Pee-Wee" A. Ducharme, who died in 2012; and by her siblings, Bertha Bourque, Georgette Lavoie, Priscilla Casavant, Kenneth Girouard, and Jovide Girouard.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
