Stella M. (Robichaud) Roy, 89, of 2021 Albany Avenue, W. Hartford, CT, and formerly of 36 Marquette Street, Gardner, died Tuesday, March 4th in St. Mary's Home, W. Hartford, CT.
Born in Athol on November 1, 1918, she was the daughter of Silver and Theotise (Maillet) Robichaud.
Mrs. Roy was employed for several years by the Gardner State Hospital, Gardner as a patient care person. She was previously employed by Goodnow-Pearsons Company of Gardner.
Stella was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards.
Mrs. Roy was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Ernest R. Roy, who died April 5, 2005.
She leaves two sons, Robert A. Roy and his wife Shirley of Ashburnham and Raymond L. Roy and his wife Nadege of Gardner; three brothers, Norman Robichaud of Athol, Reynold Robichaud of Athol and Edward Robichaud of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five brothers Leo, Arthur, Albert , Girard and Wilfred Robichaud and by two sisters, Marion Bois and Mary Chartier.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Monday, March 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donors choice.
