Sandra Elva"Sandy" Borey
Born in Waltham on March 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Hilda (Sturtevant) Baker.
Sandy attended Murdock High School of Winchendon. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner.
Sandy was a true care giver who loved taking care of people; and she especially loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Borey, who died in 2001.
She leaves five sons, Albert Borey of North Adams, Richard Borey, Jr. and his significant other Judith Morneau of Gardner, David Borey and his significant other Ann Jordan of Dudley, John Borey and his wife Karen of Lunenburg and Jack Borey of Gardner; one daughter, Brenda Renaud and her husband Bruce of Lakeland, FL; four brothers, Leroy "Red" Baker of AZ, Donald Baker and his wife Carol of Williston, VT, George Baker and his wife Vera of Ruskin, FL, and Edwin Baker of Athol; three sisters, Joan Kelly of Bedford, NH, Shirley Morton of N. Andover, and Judith Gatchell of Florida; sixteen grandchildren, Allison, Taylor, Jessica, Sabrina, Bruce John, Donavan, Haley, Bryce, Bridgit, Olivia, Gillian, Sylvia, Khaleelullah, Ahmed, Brendan and Savannah; one great-granddaughter, Lilly; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Winchendon at a later date.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
