Ronald Pelletier

Ronald “Ron” Pelletier, 69, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, January 22, 2021, in Wachusett Manor, Gardner, after a period of declining health.

Born in Gardner, on April 13, 1951, he was the son of the late Henry X. and Loretta (Girouard) Pelletier. Ron graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1969. He was a supervisor at the Templeton Developmental Center (Fernald School). He was previously employed by the Gardner State Hospital and Rutland Heights Hospital.

Ron was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, where he was a staple at the annual Church Bazaar selling tickets. He was a member of the League of Sacred Heart, the Acadien Social Club of Gardner, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #747. He loved taking Foxwoods Casino trips, and his time with his friends at McDonald’s every morning with coffee. But the time he cherished the most was the time spent with his family.

He leaves one brother, Raymond Pelletier and his wife Helen of Florida; three sisters Marie Louise Chartrand of Gardner, Sister Lorraine Pelletier of the Presentation of Mary Order of Marlboro, and Anita DiRusso of Leominster; one nephew Michael Pelletier and his wife Holly of Texas; one niece Laura DiRusso of Leominster; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Ron was predeceased by a nephew Anthony DiRusso.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021, with a Mass at 11:15 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, 01440. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

A calling hour will be private.

Masks and Social Distancing will be required.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He did have such difficult time lately and now he is at peace. God Bless him.
Ron would enjoy coming to St Vincent's for Mass every now and then and we enjoyed having him. He will be missed. As soon as I arrange to have a few Masses set up in his memory I will contact you with the dates.

To the entire Pelletier family,
We are so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ron. Knowing most of the family and having gone to school with Sister Lorraine, it hits close to home. I have known Ron for 40 years. We started our Friendship when I worked at Maillets Variety Diner. We stayed in touch and he will be truly missed. Ron was always a smile for me on a grey day. Love you Ron. RIP xoxo

Ron and I go all the way back to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School. He was always a kind and gentle soul. Never heard anything nasty come out of his mouth. He will be missed by many

I wish to send my condolences to the the family of Ron PELLETIER-Ron was a true friend to me. I really enjoyed going out to eat wth Ron and Johnny. Ron had a great sense of humor and a great laugh. He always had a kind word to say about his friends. He would send me a Christmas card every year without fail. I will miss Ron very much.
