Ronald J. Leonard Sr., 78, of Princeton, died peacefully Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with his family by his side.
Born in Seattle, Washington, on August 29, 1945, he was the son of the late James and Evelyn (Leslie) Leonard. He graduated from Reading High School with the Class of 1963. Ron was owner of Leonard Painting and a career union painter until his retirement.
Ron was a car enthusiast who loved to drive in his Chevy Corvette. He loved being outdoors, Trips to the beach and barbecuing at the state parks. Ron was a huge Red Sox fan, and enjoyed watching the Patriots and Nascar. He liked going to all the classic car shows. Ron’s greatest joy was his family, always treasuring the special moments and family gatherings.
Ronald is survived by his son, Ronald Leonard Jr. and his wife Patty of Westminster; a brother, Steve Leonard of Townsend; two sisters, Sheila Valday and her husband Bill of Cape Cod, and Bonnie Rees and her husband Joe of Hampton Beach, NH; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Redemption Rock Church, 3 Hager Park Road, Westminster, MA at 11:00 a.m. Refreshments and fellowship to follow at the church.
