Robert J. Ginn Jr.

Robert J. Ginn Jr., 78, of Templeton, died unexpectedly Friday, August 9, 2024, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.

Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on March 14, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Betty (Bailey) Ginn. He graduated from Bellevue High School, Bellevue, NE. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska, graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in 1968, and from Harvard University School of Divinity with his Master's Degree in 1970. Robert was an ordained Episcopal minister serving as a fill-in minister at several area churches, and he worked full-time at his alma mater, Harvard University, in the administration office for several years until his retirement.

Robert's compassion extended beyond his faith and work. He had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs and cats. This love was a testament to his kind and gentle nature. Robert's greatest joy was found when he was around his family, treasuring the time spent together.

Robert is survived by his wife, Virginia Rowland of Templeton; a daughter, Claire Carter-Ginn and her husband Kevin of Brooklyn, NY; nieces, Marianna and Rebecca Baer and Elise Fuhrer.
