Richard L. Allard

Richard L. “Dick” Allard, 77, of Gardner, died peacefully, Monday, November 30, 2020, in his residence.

Born in Gardner on May 11, 1943, he was the son of the late Sylvio F. and Irene M. (Montville) Allard. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, Worcester, with the Class of 1961. Dick worked as a salesman employed by Sherman Williams for several years until his retirement.

Dick was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was a member, past vice-president, and past financial secretary of the Polish American Citizens Club of Gardner where he enjoyed playing cards including Pitch. Dick was an active individual and kept busy doing various activities. He enjoyed going golfing, hunting, and bowling—especially candlepin. He loved to go deep sea fishing. Dick loved and cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dick is survived by his son Richard L. Allard, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Gardner; a daughter, Kerrie J. Oakes and her husband John of Rindge, NH; five grandchildren, Karissa and John Oakes, Jessica Leger, Alyssa Boulanger, and William Bisbee; a sister, Arlene Belsky and her husband Dennis of East Templeton; five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his two pet companions Bella and Whitey.

He was predeceased by his wife of 35-years, Donna J. (Forrester) Allard, in 2000; and two brothers, Norman and Kenneth Allard.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
