Raymond M. LeBlanc

July 1, 1928 — November 20, 2021

Raymond Medric LeBlanc, husband of 63 years to Marilyn Hazel Lineen, died in his sleep on Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was the son of the late Premelia and Medric LeBlanc, and the father of Dr. Donna Joyce Antkowiak (spouse Bernie Antkowiak) and Dr. Raeann Genevieve LeBlanc (spouse Roger O’Donnell), as well as being a grandfather to Nicholas Antkowiak and Karina LeBlanc, and brother to Jeannette Leger. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was born in Gardner, MA, on July 1, 1928, and spent his early career at the Florence Stove and General Electric Companies. Later, he became a successful restaurateur of Ray’s “Peter Pan”, a popular Gardner restaurant where he and his family worked together.

Ray shared an energetic, creative spirit and was an avid learner. This self-motivation led him to becoming a private pilot, building, and restoring vintage airplanes and being a self-taught musician in jazz guitar and keyboard. Ray enjoyed skiing, wood-working, travelling to Canada, watching television and being around his family. He was one of the founding members of the Salmon Club and held the distinction of Grand Night for the Knights of Columbus where he was also a member for many years. Ray enjoyed sharing opinions, ideas, and hopes for the next generation.

The family wishes to thank the Shortis family for their support over the years. The family also acknowledges and thanks all the formal and informal caregivers, as there were many. We thank friends, relatives, and hospice for supporting Ray’s wish to die at home in a room he loved.
