Randy "Rue" Williams

October 10, 1948 — February 13, 2017

Randy "Rue" Williams, 68, of Gardner, passed away peacefully in his home the way he had always wanted on Monday February 13, 2017.
He was born Evansville, Indiana on October 10, 1948, the son of the late Vetchel and Ruby (Dearing) Williams.
Prior to retiring due to disability, Randy was employed for many years at American Screw and Barrel Inc. in Gardner as the #1 welder. He was previously employed as a bartender at American Graffitti in Leominster.
Randy was a United States Vietnam War Marine Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Naval Unit Commendation, Combat Action Ribbon and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, and was a huge fan of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Randy loved all New England sports, especially the New England Patriots. Randy also enjoyed doing construction work prior to becoming disabled.
He leaves two sons, Brandon R. Williams of Gardner and Randy Lee Williams; two daughters, Kassandra Mary Franklin of Lunenburg and Tonia Williams Rodez and her husband Allen of Henderson, KY; brother, Bobby Williams and his wife Gladys of Kentucky; sister, Agnes Williams Ice of Florida; special granddaughter, Brooke A. Straus with whom he lived; special niece, Jean Cote Killelea and her husband Donald; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Randy also leaves his long-time companion and best friend of over 33 years, Kelly Ann Malatos, with whom he lived. He was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services and burial will be held Thursday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours. Friends and family are asked to report directly to the cemetery the morning of the service.

Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
