Phillip R. Cormier

Phillip R. Cormier, 69, of Fitchburg, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in UMass Memorial Medical Center- Leominster Hospital, after a period of declining health.

Born in Winchendon on February 15, 1955, he was the son of the late Joseph “Ray” and M. Rachel (Arsenault) Cormier. He graduated from Gardner High with the Class of 1973 followed by an associate’s degree from Mt. Wachusett Community College in 1975. 

Phillip is survived by his sister, Sandra, and her husband, Francis “Rocky” Divoll, of Peru, NY; three nephews, Shaun and Nicholas Borey and Alexander Divoll; and his niece, Christina Divoll.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Diane (Cormier) Borey.

A private burial will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
