Paulette (Wilber) Adams, 62, of Ayer, died peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, after a sudden illness.

Born in Gardner on August 1, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Carl F. Wilber Sr. and Patricia (LaFosse) Wilber. She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School with the Class of 1981. Paulette worked for many years as a home health aide, compassionately caring for others and dedicating her life to serving those in need.

Paulette was a devoted congregant of Seeds of Faith Community Church in Harvard, where her faith was the foundation of her life. She joyfully shared the love of Christ with everyone she met through her kindness, encouragement, and unwavering spirit. Blessed with a true servant's heart, Paulette faithfully served as an usher and often lifted her voice in song during worship services. Outside of church, she enjoyed dining out, seeing the latest movies at the theater, and spending time with those she loved. Above all, Paulette's greatest joy was found in her family and friends, especially her beloved dog, Baby, who brought her endless companionship and unconditional love.

Paulette is survived by her two sisters, Christine Smith and her husband, Don, of Palm Bay, Florida, and Cheryl Wilber of Ayer; a nephew, several nieces and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother, Carl F. Wilber Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.

A brief visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Green Bower Cemetery, Winter Street, Gardner.
