Paula K. Setterlund-Blair, 80, of Gardner, died peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at her home, following a period of declining health.
Born in Ironwood, Michigan, on June 26, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Hjalmer and Vivian (Luoma) Setterlund. Paula was a graduate of Ironwood High School, Class of 1963, and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin in 1967. She dedicated many years of her life to teaching, working as a third-grade teacher in the Baldwinville and Templeton Elementary Schools until her retirement.
Paula had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. She found great joy in tending to her gardens, hiking, and traveling throughout the world, embracing all that life had to offer. After her busy days, she often enjoyed relaxing with a good book and was proud to have founded a local book club, bringing others together through her love of reading.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Setterlund and her significant other, Brian Wornham of Townsend, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paula was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert E. Blair, who died in 2018, and her sister, Janet Setterlund.
A brief period of visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the donors choice. Kindly reference in memory of Paula K. Setterlund-Blair.
