Paul D. Geoffroy

Paul D. Geoffroy, 69, of Gardner, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in his residence after a long battle with heart disease.

Paul was a Corrections Officer employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 22-years until his retirement in 2005 and was currently employed at the Gardner Municipal Golf Course.

Paul was a well-known and respected coach of Gardner youth and High School sports. He loved to frequent the Paramount Café of Gardner and talk with the patrons and owners. He loved to spend time on the golf course, but the time that Paul loved and cherished the most was the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Don Geoffroy.

Due to social distancing, a small private service will be held at Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., for immediate family.

A Celebration of his Life will be scheduled for a later date. Paul is being laid to rest at Green Bower Cemetery on Winter Street in South Gardner where you will be able to pay your respects.

Guestbook

It is with deep condolences that I express to the family of a former friend and co-worker Paul Geoffroy. We worked together in the Corrections Department, and as I had retired a number of years earlier, I lost touch with him, but I can fondly remember his sense of humor and intelligent wit, and his love of sports and sports cards. May God be with you all during this time of sorrow, and I trust Paul was welcomed into the arms of his Savior upon his passing from this life to the next....

The NRHS Class of 1968 is so very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Paul was a great friend to so many in the class. We will so miss his sense of humor, his kindness, his 'life of the party' and his friendship. To Karen and to his family, we send our love and prayers. Paul will be missed by all his classmates.

Ken and I are so saddened to hear of Paul's death. He has been a friend and classmate since 1962 and always someone who made us laugh and someone we looked forward to seeing at our reunions. You left this earth way too early, our friend. Ken and Betty Knowlton

I would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the entire Geoffroy family. Our families spent many hours, days and sports seasons together as our children were growing up. There are so many memories that our families have shared together and will never be forgotten. Paul and I have shared many long conversations over the years and I will always cherish them. RIP our friend! From the George Gikis Family

Karen and family, we are deeply saddened by this news. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I know it has been years since we have been together, but we shared many great times when the kids were young. Sending love

My heart goes out to Pauls family. Paul will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. He was one of those people who always put a smile on your face. We were neighbors and friends growing up in East Templeton together. We remained lifelong friends. Rest In Peace, my friend. Darlene and Mike Morrilly

I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Paul and I coached our son's basketball teams for three years, from grade five to grade seven. He loved coaching and sharing his knowledge of basketball and baseball with the youth of Gardner.. Although we haven't seen each other for many years, I look back fondly on the times that we coached together. My deepest condolences to Karen, Michael, and Ryan.
