Paul Fontaine, 84, of Gardner, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, in Heywood Hospital.

Born in Montreal, Canada, on September 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Auray "Harry" and Blanche B. Fontaine. A 1959 graduate of Gardner High School, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Nichols College in 1963, followed by a master's degree in Business Management from Clark University in 1966. Paul proudly owned and operated Fontaine Brothers of Gardner until his retirement in 2001. He was a United States Army and National Guard Vietnam Veteran serving from 1963 to 1969.

A former member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of Holy Rosary Church, the Polish American Citizens Club, and the Metronome Trust, all of Gardner. Paul enjoyed traveling back to Canada, and watching sports especially the New England Patriots, and the Pittsburg Steelers. Above all, he cherished time spent in the company of friends and family.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria "Vicki," C. (Sandos) Fontaine, of Gardner, with whom he shared 39 years; a son, Mike P. Fontaine and his wife Debra of Gardner; one daughter, Rebecca A. Coffin of Templeton; one stepdaughter, Monica C. Richard and her husband David of Naples, Florida; a granddaughter, Kayla C. Fontaine; and several cousins.

There will be no funeral services at this time.
