Paul A"Bulldog" Boucher

Paul A. "Bulldog" Boucher, 69, of Gardner, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Gardner on July 19, 1947, he was the son of the late Clarence J. and Jeannette (Desrosiers) Boucher.
Paul graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1966, and later attended Coyne Electrical School of Boston. Paul also served in the Army National Guard.
He was employed for many years by Digital Equipment Corporation of Westminster as a Manager, retiring in 1994. Following his retirement, he was employed by Walmart of Gardner as the Manager of the Automotive Department.
Paul enjoyed golfing, going to the beach and sitting in the sunshine with his dog "Pixie". For many years he played in the Gardner City Softball League as a catcher, and later umpired for the league.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 129 of Gardner, Polish American Citizens Club of Gardner, Acadien Social Club of Gardner, Napoleon Club of Gardner, Gardner Municipal Golf Course and the Dennis Highlands Golf Course in Dennis, MA.
Paul leaves his wife of 46 years, Susan J. (Wolanske) Boucher of Gardner; one brother, Clarence Boucher of Baldwinville; nieces and nephews, Maria Hatch and her husband Alan of Westminster, Barbara Cudak and her husband Karl of Westminster, Timothy Wolanske and his wife Heather of Westminster, Michael Wolanske of Westminster, Thomas Wolanske of Mashpee, Kristine Wolanske of Westminster, Donna Caissie and her husband Scott of Royalston, Todd Boucher and his wife Donna of Winchendon, Tommy Boucher of Baldwinville, Danny Boucher and his longtime partner, Mary of Brookline; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Boucher.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 21st at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Animal Control Facility (with checks made payable to Shelter Fund) c/o Board of Health, 95 Pleasant Street, Room 29, Gardner, MA 01440.
