Odette M. (Lavoie) Bosse, 91, of Athol, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, June 29, 2026, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol, after a period of declining health.

Born in Saint-Basil, New Brunswick, Canada, on July 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Beatrice (Fournier) Lavoie. She was employed at Nichols & Stone of Gardner for eight years until her retirement in 1993. She was previously employed by Dosan's Sportswear of Gardner as a sticher for several years.

Odette was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society, and also practiced her faith at Higher Ground Ministries of Gardner. She was also a member of the Gardner Golden Agers. Odette enjoyed making crafts, sewing, and quilting. She loved taking trips to Canada to visit her family. Above all, Odette's pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment and memory they shared together.

Odette is survived by her three daughters, Martha M. McDonald and her husband, Guy, of Gardner, Lorraine J. Roy and her husband, Steve, of Gardner, and Norma A. Bruinsma of Templeton; three sisters, Chantal Martin and her husband, Meril, of Saint-Jacques, New Brunswick, Canada, Phebee Cyr and her husband, Reginald, of Saint-Basil, New Brunswick, Canada, and Ann-Marie Lavoie of Saint-Basil, New Brunswick, Canada; a brother, Gilbert Lavoie of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Yvon L. Bosse, who died in 1998; a daughter, Diane B. Bosse; a son, Herve J. Bosse; a grandson Nicholas Bruinsma; four sisters, Fernande Dionne, Marie-Mae Caouette, Rachelle Bosse, and Raejeanne Bernier; and two brothers, Valmont and Hermel Lavoie.

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Higher Ground Ministries, 186 Central Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the same location. Burial will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
