Neuba Regia Barreto Silva, 61, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family, following an illness.

Born in Jequié, Brazil, on August 2, 1964, she was the devoted daughter of Sonia Barreto Silva of Brazil and the late Hamilton Oliveira Silva. A woman of deep compassion and dedication, she pursued her calling in music and healing, earning her master's degree in music therapy. Neuba shared her gifts as a clinician with Recovery Centers of America in Westminster for several years and previously served as a professor at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, where she inspired and educated countless students.

Faith was an important part of Neuba's life, practicing her faith at the New England Church in Fitchburg. She approached life with curiosity and joy, always eager to learn something new and equally passionate about teaching and uplifting others. Music was her true language-she found happiness in playing instruments and singing, filling the lives of those around her with beauty and song. Above all else, Neuba's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished sister whose warmth, strength, and gentle spirit will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Neuba is survived by her beloved husband, Giovanni H. Silva of Gardner; her three sons, Lucas Giovanni Silva, Tiago Andre Silva, and Mateus Levi Silva, all of Gardner; her sisters, Nivia Luana Milagre and her husband Jurley of Leominster, Yara Ramos of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Nubia Katia Silva of Brazil; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A period of visitation was held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, followed by funeral services. Neuba was buried at Wildwood Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
