Michael Curran Zarozinski, 48, of South Deerfield, MA, died on Monday, December 09, 2019.
Born in Gardner, MA, on August 11, 1971, he was the son of Chester and Margaret (Gibree) Zarozinski. He was a 1989 graduate of Gardner High School and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 1993, with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
After graduation, Michael began a successful career as a software engineer, first at AutoZone in Memphis, TN, and later at Yankee Candle in South Deerfield, MA. For the last 10-years, Michael worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on machine learning systems and artificial intelligence.
Michael was an avid coin collector and guitar enthusiast. He enjoyed cooking and time spent with his family. Michael had great compassion for animals and often donated his time and resources to local shelters.
Besides his parents, Michael leaves one brother Christopher Zarozinski and his wife Victoria, of Westminster, MA, his beloved nieces Julia and Claire Zarozinski, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held in the spring of 2020, at a date to be announced.
