Matthew A. Caisse, 32, of Gardner, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in his home.
Born in Fitchburg on August 13, 1993, he was the beloved son of Lisa and Stephen LeBlanc Sr. and James Caisse.
Matt was a "jack of all trades"-a true craftsman with an innate ability to create, repair, and bring ideas to life with his hands. He had a remarkable green thumb, tending gardens filled with homegrown foods and a wide array of plants. The outdoors was his sanctuary, a place where he found peace and purpose-whether he was hunting, fishing, or riding ATV's along wooded trails and the pits. He had a deep love for animals and cared for many cherished pets throughout the years. Recently, Matt had begun reconnecting with his faith, finding comfort and guidance in renewing his relationship with the Lord. Above all, Matt's greatest joy was his family. Nothing meant more to him than the moments spent with those he loved-especially his treasured nieces and nephews, who were the light of his life.
Besides his parents, Matt leaves behind his siblings, Christopher Caisse and his wife, Heidi of Athol; Tianna Caisse and her significant other, Alexander Blacquiere, of Gardner; Alex Caisse of California; Melissa LeBlanc of Gardner; Stephen LeBlanc Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Templeton; Sara LeBlanc, of Gardner; Katy LeBlanc and her significant other, Kyle Rogers, of Gardner; and Alisa LeBlanc of Gardner. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews-Curtis Caisse, Hazely Caisse, and Johnny Caisse; Alexander Blacquiere Jr.; Alassandra Blacquiere; Ayla Aponte and Elsie Aponte, as well as several grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow from the funeral home with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
