Marsha A. Roy

Marsha A. (Blais) Roy, 71, of Gardner, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family Thursday, May 20, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Gardner on January 14, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Florence (Stevenson) Blais. Marsha earned an Associates's Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner, becoming a Registered Nurse. Marsha was a Registered Nurse employed by Heywood Hospital Department of Mental Health for 34-years.

Marsha was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She loved watching musicals, reading, listening to music, making puzzles, quilting, and traveling—especially to Walt Disney World, and spending time at their camp in Vermont. Marsha enjoyed working around the house and making sure it was pristine. She was a cheery, loving person, always constantly willing to help others, with her kind smile will forever be remembered. The time Marsha loved and cherished the most was spent with her family, for whom she loved being a mother and grandmother.

Marsha is survived by her husband of 33-years, Steven R. Roy of Gardner; her mother-in-law, Jeanette Roy of Fitchburg; two sons, Jeffrey Larocque and his life partner Sandi Alicandro of Baldwinville and Jason Larocque and his wife Amy of Winchendon; two daughters, Janice Gallant and her husband Jacques of Templeton, and Julie Larocque Damien and her husband Raymond of Fitchburg; a step-daughter, Michelle Poole of Townsend; five grandchildren, Porter Larocque, Madeline and Ryan Gallant, Jeremy Larocque, and Olivia Laliberte; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Zachary Roy and Madison and Julia Damien; a great-grandchild, Taylor Wilson. Marsha is also survived by a sister, Susan Adams of Gardner; and a brother, Homer Blais and his wife Rachael of Gardner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In the care of her loving family, Marsha leaves her beloved dog Sadie, and her cat Mini,

She was predeceased by her sister, Janice St. Cyr.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at KRO’s on the Common, 10 Baldwinville Road, Templeton, MA 01468.
