Mark Verolini

June 28, 1954 — June 13, 2021

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mark P. Verolini, beloved father, brother, ex-husband, and friend.

He treasured his children and their families more than anything and was happiest when enjoying the small pleasures in life.

Here are just a few of his favourite things.

Cooking ‘Sunday Sauce’ any day of the week and ‘baconeggs’ on weekend mornings. Getting ‘lost in Boston’ and, without fail, falling asleep while watching golf. For better or worse, he was a rabid consumer of politics and an avid fan of talk radio.

The New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.

He cherished bottomless cups of coffee in his sister’s kitchen accompanied by hours of endless laughter shared between them.

He reserved a special kind of joy for driving Mulholland Drive in LA’s Santa Monica Mountains, capped off by a morning spent at ‘Cars & Coffee’. Motorcycles and cars were always a passion with a fondness for Hondas, Volvos, and Chevy trucks.

But perhaps above all else, he loved nothing more than FaceTiming his London-based son and Los Angeles-based daughter to see their faces, but more importantly, to see their dogs.

He is pre-deceased by his father, Albert P. Verolini and his mother, Eleanor Verolini. The youngest of two children, he is survived by his sister Marianne Griffin and her husband Bill of Westminster.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his grateful son Matthew and his partner Andrea and his doting daughter Mariel and her husband, Victor.

Mark Verolini lives on in the hearts and minds of his loving family.

Private family services were held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA, 520 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018, or on their website at (www.aspca.org). Please reference in memory of Mark P. Verolini.
