Marilyn R. Jefferson

Marilyn "Lynn" R. (Caron) Jefferson, 72, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, September 3, 2022, in Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Fitchburg on October 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Francis R. and Estelle M. (Renaud) Caron. She graduated from St. Bernard's Catholic High School. Lynn was a Bartender employed by the Deep-Sea Club of Gardner and an Assembler employed by Kamensteins for several years. She previously was employed by McDonald's, Standard Chair, Garlock Printing, Wayno's Dugout, JoAnn's Pub, Carbone's, and the 1761 Old Mill.

Lynn was a member of the Deep-Sea Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747, West End Beagle Club, and the Gardner Fish and Gun Club, all of Gardner. She enjoyed wildlife and nature and loved to go camping at Lamb City Campground in Phillipston. Lynn loved to cook and was an excellent cake decorator and, for many years, cooked and served Thanksgiving dinners with the Eagles for the less fortunate. She also loved to play various games, including shuffleboard, cribbage, and BINGO. She was a over of all animals. Lynn's greatest joy was her family, treasuring all the special moments they had together, especially her cat, Gilligan.

Lynn is survived by her three daughters, Holly Hardy and her husband David of Gardner, Cynthia Gallant and her significant other Joel of Gardner, and Mary Scott of Gardner; three sons, Stephen Scott of Hubbardston, Francis Scott and his significant other Christine of Athol and Brian Scott of Gardner; seven grandchildren, Christopher Gallant, Zachary, and Cody Hardy, Stephen Scott Jr., Mykala, Sullivan, and Hailey Scott; a sister, Elaine Maguay of Leominster; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Jefferson, whose ashes will be beside her at the services, for a joint ceremony. He died on March 15, 2020; a granddaughter Jacinda Scott, who died on March 25, 2020; and two brothers, Ronald, and Robert Caron.

Funeral Services for Marilyn and her husband Thomas will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

A Calling Hour will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
