Margaret "Peggy" M. (Lucey) (Robinson) Donohue, 83, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, January 8, 2026, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Boston on December 16, 1942, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Murphy) Lucey. Peggy earned her Associate Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse and devoted her life to caring for others. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career, working in various healthcare facilities until her retirement. Nursing was more than a profession to Peggy-it was her life's calling.
Peggy was a devoted animal lover and a passionate advocate for their care and protection. Above all else, her greatest joy was found in her family, cherishing the time spent together and treasuring the many memories they shared.
Peggy is survived by her son, John C. Robinson of Gardner; her grandson, David Haywood of Gardner; her brother, Richard T. Maddalena-Lucey of Gardner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter T. Donohue Jr., and her brother, Robert W. Lucey.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in Wildwood Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, Massachusetts.
