Loretta V Lorion

Loretta V. (Fournier) Lorion, 86, of Gardner, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, after a brief illness.
Born on May 16, 1931 in Gardner, she was the daughter of the late Benoit Fournier and Leona (Voisine) Fournier.
Loretta was a longtime employee of the former Simplex Time Recorder Company. She also worked at the former Independent Lock Company, J. J. Newbury, IGA Supermarket and Stop & Shop Supermarket.
Loretta was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, where she was a Lector and member of the church choir for many years. She loved going to the movies, and greatly enjoyed dancing and listening to country music with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Lorion to whom she was married for 45 years.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria LeBlanc and husband Roland of Gardner; her sister-in-law, Pearl Fournier of Harwich; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Loretta was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Fournier.
Loretta was fortunate to receive loving care from her friend and nurse, Melody Phelps, over the past several years.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 19th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
