Livain J. Daigle, 91, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, Templeton, after a period of declining health with his family by his side.

Born in Saint-Ignace, New Brunswick, Canada, on September 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Lydie (Babin) Daigle. Livain was the Supervisor of Assembly employed by Digital Equipment Corporation for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He was previously employed by Wire Mold Company of Hartford, CT, for 10 years.

Livain was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was a member of the Acadien Social Club of Gardner. Livain was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden. In his younger years he enjoyed jogging and doing projects  around the house. Livain’s greatest joy in life was his family, treasuring their time spent together.

Livain is survived by his son, Michael J. Daigle of Pinellas Park, FL; two daughters, Joanne M. LeBlanc and her husband Paul of Templeton and Debbie A. Robbins and her husband Jonathan of Athol; seven grandchildren Melissa Allsobrooks and her husband Patrick of Templeton; Nicole Beauvais and her husband Nathan of Templeton; Matthew LeBlanc and his wife Annie of Somersworth, NH; Sarah Bailey and her husband Nick of Westminster; Dusten Daigle and his wife Bre of Swanzey, NH; Chelsea Pannell and her husband Jacob of Bon Aqua, TN; Seth Robbins and his wife Melyssa of Kingston Springs, TN and several great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Daigle and his wife Aldea of St-Louis-de-Kent, NB, Canada; three sisters, Louisa Steele of Richibucto, NB, Canada, Emilie Ouellet and her husband Renald of Montreal, QB, Canada and Elmonde Richard and her husband Odilon of St-Ignace, NB, Canada; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Jeannine (LeBlanc) Daigle, who died in 2010, his Grandson Ryan S. Daigle who died in 2020; six brothers, Sylvain, Edward, Ovila, Eloi, Gerald, Leopold and 2 infant brothers, Leo and Joseph Daigle; three sisters, Bertha Thebeau, Mary-Anne Johnson, Roseline Richard. 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440, or to Holy Family Academy, 99 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Livain J. Daigle.
