Linda M. Burroughs, 69, of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, August 27, 2026, in the Rose Monahan Hospice House of Worcester, after an illness.

Born in Boston on October 4, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Josephine A. (Tuttle) Burroughs. She received her GED from Hudson High School and went on to work as a real estate appraiser, serving as an independent contractor for JMS Appraisals for many years.

Linda was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner. She had a special love for animals and was passionate about rescuing dogs, particularly those in need from the South. One of her favorite stories to share was the time she rescued eight dogs at once. Her compassion for animals was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in giving them a loving home.

Linda is survived by her brother, Joseph Burroughs; two sisters, Virginia Girard and Connie Burkett; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or visitation. A private memorial service will be held with her loved ones.
