Leo L'Heureux, 80, of Templeton, passed away peacefully at home from complications due to cancer on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, surrounded by his devoted and loving family.

Leo was born in Winchendon on March 8, 1945, the son of the late Leo J. and Pauline (Doiron) L'Heureux. He graduated with the Class of 1963 from Athol High School and went on to build a career in the electronics industry, most recently as an Electrical Engineer at Intertek in Boxboro.

Leo was previously a member of Holy Cross Church in East Templeton. Known for his remarkable craftsmanship, he poured his creativity into countless projects -building intricate lighthouses eventually mastering aspects by using his 3D printer, repairing computers, photography/videography, and constantly working on home and automotive repairs. He especially cherished at home clam bakes and in his younger days enjoyed visits to Canada to stay in cabins with the family and go clamming. Leo also found great joy spending time with his children and grandchildren including camping, fishing, and taking trips to places like Disney, Canobie Lake Park, Bensons Animal Park, and the beaches of Maine. A proud New Englander, he was a devoted fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Above all, Leo treasured his beloved wife, placing her on a pedestal that no one could match. He also dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his children making sure that they were well provided for and that they set themselves up for success.

Leo is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol (Cleveland) L'Heureux, of Templeton, four sons: Scott L'Heureux and his wife Carmen of Rhode Island, Leo(Scoot) P. L'Heureux Jr. and his wife Lisa of Connecticut, John L'Heureux and his wife Heather of South Carolina, and Adam L'Heureux of Templeton; two daughters, Patti-Jo Brown of Fitchburg, and Barbara Murphy of Templeton. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Leo was predeceased by his two brothers, Jean (Tib) L'Heureux and Roy L'Heureux, as well as his sister, Ida Wilk.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m.
