Lawrence A. “Larry” “Grizzly” Fleming, 69, of Baldwinville, died peacefully Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Umass Memorial Medical Center University Campus, of Worcester

Larry was born In Lakehurst, New Jersey on December 30, 1949, the son of the late Fred M. and Virginia H. (Hannon) Fleming. He graduated from South High School in Worcester with the Class of 1966. He attended Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California where he received an Associates Degree in Fire Science. While out in California he helped to Develop PDAP an Adolescent Drug and Alcohol abuse program. He also attended the Outward Bound School in Colorado, of which he was very proud of completing. He was a Propane Service Technician with Osterman Propane in Sterling for more than 15 years.

Larry was a member of Holy Cross Church of East Templeton. He was also a member of Orange Sportsman Club, and Boy Scouts Troop 27 of East Templeton where he was a scout leader for many years. He was a friend of Bill W. for 40 years. Larry enjoyed genealogy, photography, hunting, fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was being a Grampy and spending time with his family.

He leaves his wife of 25 years Annette (Fleming) Fleming of Baldwinville; son, Zachary L. Fleming and his wife Angela of Baldwinville; daughters, Sierra G. Fleming of Baldwinville, Christine F. Knapp of Winchendon, and Sandra Cude and her husband John of Layton, Utah; brother Dennis G. Fleming of Barre; sisters Patricia M. Adams and her husband Mark of West Yarmouth, and Teresa M. Davidson and her husband Dale of Valrico, FL; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Larry was predeceased by his two brothers Freddie Fleming, and Patrick M. Fleming.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Ave. East Templeton. Burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Barre will be held at a later date.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, September 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Boy Scouts Troop 27, PO Box 98, Templeton, MA, 01468. Please reference in memory of Lawrence A. Fleming.
