Lawrence W"Larry" Casavant

Lawrence W. "Larry" Casavant, 73, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, November 11, 2016 in HealthAlliance Hospital of Leominster.
Born in Gardner on November 24, 1942, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Sylvia (LeBlanc) Casavant.
Larry was a Firefighter with the City of Gardner Fire Department for eleven years, retiring in 1982.
He was a United States Vietnam War Navy Veteran, who served from 1961 through 1967.
Larry was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling. Larry was a member of the VFW Post 905 Ovila Case of Gardner and the American Legion Thomas P. Sweeney Post 142 of Ashburnham.
He leaves his wife, Nancy H. Nyman; one daughter, Cassandra Comstock and her significant other, David Hernandez; step-daughter, Mindy Tamas and her husband Marc of Worcester; three brothers, Philip Casavant of Royalston; Paul Casavant and his partner Ricky Williams of Venice, FL and William Casavant of Gardner; three grandchildren, Jamie Comstock, David Hernandez and Dominique Hernandez; two step-grandchildren, Allison Tamas and Vanessa Tamas; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Jane Casavant.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 18th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
