Kimberly (Cochran) Riggins, 54, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Ashburnham, Gardner and Hubbardston, died peacefully on January 20, 2026.
Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on May 15, 1971, she was the daughter of Richard and Geralyn (Bergevin) Cochran of Hubbardston. Kimberly graduated from Quabbin Regional High School with the Class of 1989. Kim dedicated many years of her professional life to public service, working for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections for 14 years until her retirement. She was previously employed by GFA Federal Credit Union for three years and Gap Inc. for two years.
Kim lived life fully and with purpose. She loved being outdoors, especially spending time at the beach and at the family lake. She enjoyed staying active through kickboxing, walking, and running, and she took great pride in decorating her home and attending sporting events. Above all else, Kim's greatest joy was her family-especially her children. Emily and Blake shared, "We love our mom dearly-nothing in the past tense. We miss her every single day, and we will live our lives in honor of her." Her husband, Tim, lovingly described Kim as "the most wonderful woman I have ever met in my life." Kim's spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Besides her parents, Kim is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Riggins of Clearwater, Florida; her two beloved children, Emily and Blake Riggins, both of Clearwater, Florida; her sister, Melissa Loomer and her husband Joshua of Athol; her in-laws, Jeffrey Riggins and his wife Donna; her nieces and nephews, Kalyanna, Jamison, and Logan Loomer, Jordan Watson, and Shawn and Samantha Riggins; her great-nephews, Julian and Everett Watson; and her cherished dog, Pooty.
A Celebration of Kim's Life will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Polish American Citizens Club, 171 Kendall Pond Road West, Gardner, Massachusetts, beginning at 12:00 p.m., with a service at 1:00 p.m.
