Kelsie M. Pushee, 35, of Gardner, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 18, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus in Worcester.

Born in Gardner on October 3, 1990, she was the daughter of George D. M. Pushee IV and Rhonda (Gagne) Lison, and the stepdaughter of George Lison. Kelsie was a graduate of Gardner High School with the Class of 2009 and went on to work for many years as a waitress at both Texas Roadhouse and Friendly's, where she was known for her warm personality and friendly spirit.

She enjoyed staying active and had a love for bowling and playing sports, especially soccer and softball. Additionally, she loved spending time at the beach on family vacations. Above all else, Kelsie's greatest joy was her family-most especially her beloved son, Jacob. She treasured the memories, laughter, and moments shared with her family throughout the years. She will be remembered for her remarkable strength and bravery, her kind and generous heart, and a sense of humor that brought light to those around her.

Besides her parents, Kelsie is survived by her husband, Muhammad Kabuye; her son, Jacob Merritt; three sisters, Christie Rodriguez and her husband Santos Rodriguez, Kylie Lison, and Cassidie Lison; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held in the spring.
