Kathleen F.M. Swartz

Kathleen F.M. (Moore) Swartz, 81, of Wilmot, NH, died peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2024, in UMass Memorial Health Alliance Hospital, Leominster, MA after an illness.

Born in Rockville Centre, NY, on May 22, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor F. (Martens) Moore. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Post Long Island University in Brooksville, NY and later her Master’s Degree from Cambridge College, Cambridge, MA. Kathleen resided in Ramsey, MN for several years where she ran a home daycare and took several adult education enrichment courses.  Upon moving to Wilmot, NH, she was employed by New London Trust and Colonial Pharmacy in New London, NH for many years prior to her retirement.

Kathleen enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, cooking, canning and baking. She served as a volunteer with Girl Scouts of America and was always up for an adventure.  In her senior years, she was a member of the Wilmot Ladies Aide Society in Wilmot, NH. Kathleen took great pride in giving back to her community and was always willing to lend a hand, bake dozens of cookies, or assist those in need. She enjoyed meeting people, dining in small family owned establishments and learning about the hidden gems on the back roads of small towns throughout New England. 

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Victoria Zarozinski and her husband Christopher of Westminster, MA; a son, John R. Swartz Jr. and his wife Tann of New Hampshire; two granddaughters, Julia and Claire; a sister, Elaine Moore of Florida; a brother, Robert Moore and his wife Eileen of Pennsylvania; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, John R. Swartz Sr., a sister, Margaret Epstein; and a brother, Joseph Moore.

There are no services. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
