Karen M. Hallett

Karen M. (Cormier) Hallett, 69, of Baldwinville, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in her residence after an illness.

Born in Gardner on November 9, 1950, she was the daughter of the Edith (Meehan) Pratt and the late Aldege Cormier. She was a graduate of Gardner High School with the Class of 1968. Karen was a dietary aide employed by Baldwinville Nursing Home for 26-years until her retirement in 2013.

Karen was a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baldwinville. Karen loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved going to Maine, especially Old Orchard Beach. Karen loved her Boston Red Sox and would never miss a game. She also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots. But the time that Karen loved and cherished the most, and the “highlight of her life” was time spent with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Besides her mother, Edith Pratt of Baldwinville, Karen is survived by her husband of 50-years, William H. Hallett of Baldwinville; a son, Bruce W. Hallett of Baldwinville; a daughter, Danielle N. Lajoie of Fitchburg; her twin sister, Carol Ness and her husband Fred of Nebraska; three brothers, Aldege “Sonny” Cormier and his wife Nancy of Rhode Island, Neil Cormier and his wife Cindy of Maine, and Dennis Cormier and his wife Cheryl of Maine; two grandchildren, SSgt. Gregory Phelps and his wife Kim, and Tyler Hallett; two great-grandchildren, Braden Phelps and Brooke LaBreque; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rachael Lajoie, in 2014 and, her stepfather, Donald Pratt, in 2001.

Funeral Services will be held and announced at a later date.
