Judith Ann LaBatt

March 18, 1940 — December 7, 2015

Judith Ann (Richards) LaBatt, 75, of 236 Ash Street, Gardner, died peacefully Monday, December 7, 2015 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave, Worcester, with her husband by her side, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on March 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Renie W. and Marion M (Gauthier) Richards.
Judith graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1958.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Church of Gardner. Judith was a devoted volunteer for the many functions and fundraisers at St. Martins Church of Otter River. She was also a member of the A.A.R.P. and the American Legion, Post 129 Women's Auxiliary of Gardner.
Judith enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her family. She treasured her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Judith leaves her husband of 56 years, Claude G. LaBatt, Jr. of Gardner; three grandchildren, Thomas LaBatt, Craig LaBatt and Brittany Isabelle-LaBatt; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Ella and Laura LaBatt; one aunt, Alberta Zifcak of Templeton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Brian K. LaBatt who died in 2002.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 10th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
