Joyce Swedberg

Joyce R. (Grossman) Swedberg, 71, of Auburn, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in Worcester, MA, at Notre Dame Health Care.

Born in Boston, MA, on May 14,1954, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Piltch) Grossman. She graduated from Lynn Classical High School in Lynn, MA, with the class of 1972, later furthering her education at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and receiving her Bachelors in Education. She then attended Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg to gain her Masters in Administration. Joyce was a dedicated School Administrator in the Gardner Public School system for many years.

Joyce loved spending time at the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her two sons, Eric Swedberg and his wife Grace of Auburn, and Jeffrey Swedberg and his wife, Katie Gardiner of Worcester; a daughter, Jennifer (Swedberg) Moniz and her husband Walter of Ashburnham; two sisters, Harriet Limbek and her husband Peter of Haverhill, and Linda Bebar of Salem, New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Isaac, Ella, and Lilly Swedberg, Emily, Audrey, and Andrew Coates.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Brian H. Swedberg, who passed away in 2015.

In accordance with Joyce's wishes, there will be no services held.
