Joseph O. Richard, 94, of Heathsville, Virginia, formerly of Gardner, died Tuesday, January 2nd in Virginia.
Mr. Richard was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
He was previously employed at the Massachusetts State Hospital as a hospital attendant.
Mr. Richard is survived by one son, Francis Richard and his wife Barbara Anne of Heathsville, VA; five grandchildren, Robert Richard, Michael Richard, Deborah Crawford, William Richard and Joseph Richard; several nieces, nephews and cousins in the Gardner area.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner. Reverend Andre Dargis of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church will officiate.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, January 6th from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is in charge of the arrangements.
