Joseph Muriel Cormier, 70, of Ashburnham, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2023, at Umass Memorial Health Alliance, Leominster, with his family by his side. 

Born in Saint-Damien, New Brunswick, Canada, on November 07, 1952, he was the son of the late Violet (LeBlanc) and Camille Cormier.

Joseph married his wife Aline on December 11, 1971, and together they shared two loving children. He was a truck driver for many different businesses including, Powell Stone and Gravel, R&D Transport, Rushco, and even went back to Canada to drive truck for a period of time.

Joseph donated his time as a Boy Scouts of America Scout Leader for many years. He had a love for old cars, and enjoyed tinkering with them whenever he could. He also couldn't resist a good motorcycle ride, and some classic country music.

Joseph leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Aline (Daigle) Cormier of Ashburnham; a son, Chris Cormier and his wife Paula of Ashburnham; a daughter, Laurie Albert and her husband David of Gardner; a brother, Eddy Cormier and his wife Debby; two sisters, Jeanette Ferrari and her husband Chuck and Lena Egan; four grandchildren, Crystal Scarborough and her husband Matt, Heather Fishchett and her husband Randy, Caitlin Batchelder and her husband Nick, and Colette Cormier; 10 great-grandchildren; several, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Leonce and Reginald Cormier; and three sisters, Thelma Cormier, Doreene Richard, and Elmire Allain. 

There are no funeral services.
