Joseph G"Joe" Bourgeois
Born in Gardner on October 15, 1960, he was the son of the late Gerald and Louise (Hamel) Bourgeois.
Joseph graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1978.
He was an aerospace machinist employed by Hardric Laboratories, Inc. of Waltham for many years, retiring in 2000.
Joseph was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was also a member of the Orange, MA Rod and Gun Club and the South Barre, MA Rod and Gun Club.
Joseph enjoyed playing horseshoes, target shooting and honing knives. He also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. He loved spending time with his family.
Joseph leaves his wife of 9 years, Yvonne D. (O'Dell) Bourgeois of Athol; son, David J. Bourgeois and his significant other, Maria Fernandez of Gardner; daughter, April A. Tatro and her husband Aldo of Greenfield; sister, Linda Carcieri of Gardner; two grandchildren, Aubree and Aldo John "A.J." Tatro; two aunts, Louise Letendre and Jean Bourgeois; uncle, Robert Hamel; nieces and nephew, Matthew, Kristen and Jessica Carcieri; great-nephew, Donimic; and several cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 19th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
Family and friends are asked to report directly to the church the morning of the service.
