John was born in Fitchburg on January 19, 1962, he was the son of the late John and Rita (LeBlanc) MacMillan. Later, John went on to dedicate many years of his career as an Information Technology Consultant.

John was a former member of Holy Spirit Church in Gardner. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the New England Patriots. He had a deep appreciation for music, attending many concerts over the years, with a particular fondness for classic rock bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Journey. Above all, John cherished the time he spent with his family, holding those moments closest to his heart.
