Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey A. Landry, Sr., 83, of Gardner, MA, after a period of declining health.

He was the son of the late Arthur D. Landry, Sr. and Louise (LaRoche) Landry.

Jeffrey came from a large family, where he was the oldest of nine children, and he went on to have a family of his own. On June 8, he celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary with the love of his life, Erana (D'Orsay) Landry.

Jeff spent 47 years of his life working for the City of Gardner as a foreman for the Highway Department, retiring in January of 2006. No matter if it was plowing and sanding roads, fixing potholes, paving roads, or performing numerous other jobs, Jeff did it with skill and dedication.

He also loved making wooden items and creating projects with his scroll saw, talents at which he excelled. We all have gifts he made, so he'll always have a place in our homes where we can think of him and remember how much he enjoyed creating those special items. Many of them were completed with the help of Erana, who beautifully painted them.

Family was always most important to Jeff, and he was the best Dad, Pépère, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend that anyone could have. You will be missed but never forgotten. We send you off to Heaven with heavy hearts but also with great pride for the man you were and everything you taught us over the years. Your ability to tell a story is going to be missed by all.

Jeff and Erana had three children: Jean (Gary) Miner of Leominster, Judy (Richard) Perron, Jr. and Jeffrey (Tina Miller) Landry, all of Gardner. He had four grandchildren: Rachel (Matt) Rooney of Warren, Rhode Island, Michael Perron of Newton, Andrea (Joey) Parker, and Christopher Miner and his partner, Jade Letendre, all of Templeton. He also had three great-grandchildren: Lexi and Luke Parker of Templeton, MA, and Augustine Rooney of Warren, Rhode Island.

Nothing made Dad and Pépère happier than seeing all the smiling faces when he made things for family and friends. Now those items will be cherished even more by everyone lucky enough to have something handcrafted with love by him.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. As the oldest of nine children, he is also survived by all of his siblings: Donald, Sr. (Sheila), Robert (Karen), Dennis (Jean), Raymond (Maureen), Paul (Wanda), Diane (Frank) Dack, Louise Wironen, and Arthur Landry, Jr. He also leaves a half-sister, Sherry Szoc, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Crystal Lake Drive, Gardner, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Senior Center, 294 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Jeffrey A. Landry, Sr.
