Jeanne C. (Dion) Bourgeois, 82, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, October 6, 2017 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner.
Born in Gardner on May 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marion (Demers) Dion.
Jeanne was employed by Magic Moments of Gardner as a clerk for many years. She was previously employed by New England Telephone Company and Gardner Savings Bank.
Jeanne was a member of Holy Spirit Church of Gardner. She was also a member of the Gardner Chapter of AARP and the Chair City Pipers.
She enjoyed spending time gardening, cooking, traveling and shopping.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Simon J. Bourgeois, Jr. who died July 21, 2011; her son, Robert Bourgeois who died in 2003; and one sister, Annette Adamson of Gardner.
She leaves one daughter, Kathleen Duteau and her husband Ernie of Daytona, FL; two sons, James E. Bourgeois and his wife Tina of Tennessee, and John M. Bourgeois and is wife Donna of Athol; daughter-in-law, Gina Beauregard; nine grandchildren, Corey Bushey, Chrissy Adams, Bobbi-Jo Bourgeois, Katelyn Bourgeois, Samantha Bourgeois, Andre Beauregard, Christina Beauregard, Lisa Comeau, and Becky McCaffrey; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, 32 Hospital Hill Road, Gardner, MA 01440 and Heywood Wakefield Commons, 50 Pine Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Jeanne Bourgeois.
