Jason Troy
Garner
Mar 30, 1975 — Jun 18, 2026
Jason Troy Garner, 51, of Littleton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Born at Fort Monmouth Army Hospital in New Jersey on March 30, 1975, he was the last baby born there. He was the beloved son of Doug and Diane (Wehmeyer) Garner of Rindge, NH, who survive him.
Jason's life was defined by resilience, resourcefulness, and fierce independence. In 2016, he survived a house fire that burned more than 40% of his body; through determination and talent, he fully regained his musical abilities and went on to delight others with piano and guitar. A lifelong musician, he played by ear, composed countless songs, and shared them at family gatherings and open-mic nights. He adored The Mallet Brothers Band and attended their concerts whenever he could. For many years, Jason worked as a chef and volunteered his culinary skills to prepare meals for the homeless and hungry. He also served as a counselor, visiting homeless encampments to offer support. He loved animals and raised small farm animals, and his outdoor passions included Scouting-where he attained the rank of Life Scout-and years of camping with family and friends.
Jason had an uncanny ability to make friends wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will remember him for his music, compassion, and indomitable spirit.
Besides his parents, Jason is survived by two daughters, Arielle Gagnon and her husband, Darrin, of Wolcott, VT, and Oriana Taylor of Ithaca, NY; a brother, Christopher Garner and his wife, Jenna, of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Amy Garner and her husband, Michael Dedek, of Shrewsbury, MA, and Jennifer Bevilacqua and her husband, Francis, of Groveland, MA; and six nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Keene NH Serenity Center, 294 West Street, Suite A, Keene, NH 03431. Please reference in memory of Jason Troy Garner.
